Am curious as to whether or not they are going to address the issues parents face with false accusations, and CPS, with whom CASA is closely tied, pounding good people into dust by continuously accusing them, even when police reports state that alleged abuse is not true, and so on. CASA is good with being a band-wagon rider with CPS at the helm.

I hope they can understand that the 'poor little angels' they claim to advocate for are quite often outright liars, and make things up simply to get the parents in trouble. Rare is the occasion that a child actually NEEDS an advocate voice in court. Appointment of their services does NOT make the child the victim in every circumstance, but that's what they will lead the general, uninformed, inexperienced public to believe.

I, for one, will not be attending to listen to them tell about the 'great things' CASA does, all while working blindly against good parents.

Thank you for Camulos!!! Someone who sees through the BS!!

I am a parent on the wrong end of a raw deal. My son, who just turned 17 in few months ago has been in the care of CPS for 8 months now. He did not get his way and I did not bail him out of jail so he said we abuse him. The only "evidence" is that from a report form Dr. Thal who is on CPS's payroll. Their conclusion was since we grounded my son, we "emotionally abused" him and I neglected to protect him from his step-father. When in fact, his own lawyer stated after meeting my son for the first time and after 30 minutes, that if the lawyers own son treated him 1/4th the way my son was treating us (by the way, my son was smiling the whole time) then the cops would have arrived to find the lawyers son knocked out.

Funny how an attorney can say this and it is fine. I also like a CPS worker telling our family how having 1 drink per night makes you an alcoholic but then you see this same worker in the store buying a 12 pack!!

Or how about they put in their own reports that the child in question "instigates everything" but the parents are guilty of abuse and neglect??? Or even though the parents have done everything possible to make things better.....years of counseling....years of asking and begging for help...even calling CPS (HUGE MISTAKE BTW....) for help....but in the end, the parents are still guilty.

CPS needs to be disbanded permanently. They only take the kids that they can make money off of. They even have a program that once the kid turns 18, they can then enter into an agreement to stay under CPS care until they are either 21 or 23....mean while...CPS continues to get thousands a year form teh federal govt. Nice plan huh to keep the money rolling in!

And why do they do this? b/c they would lose their jobs if they don't fill a yearly "quota" on the number of kids they take. CPS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED........BUT ONLY IF EVERYONE ACTUALLY BANS TOGETHER.......
