After fighting traffic into this 'festival' and finally finding a place to park, we found out that there was an entry fee of 5 bucks per person we had to pay for the privilege of buying more stuff inside. Had they simply advertised this entry fee where it could be seen from the street we wouldn't have wasted our time.

    Never again!

"Native American Art Flop!" They call this a Festival? The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber seems to consider about 20 tents, artists and vendors included, a "festival". This is more than embarrassing for this town and our summer visitors. I can remember when the Native American Art Festival was 100+ artists and vendors. People had a reason to go and make a day of it. However, after moving the festival, EVERY YEAR, to confuse as many people as possible, CHARGING RIDICULOUS vendors fees to artists and vendors alike and charging the public a fee to enter, this "For Profit" chamber of commerce is doing all they can to put themselves out of business. The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber needs to focus on what a chamber is supposed to be doing: They should be bringing business to local business. They should not be focused on how much money they can put in their pockets without regard for local business. This "For Profit" chamber also gets some of our tax dollars to help in their political campaign to pad their pockets. The chamber board needs to wake up and see that this chamber is ruining the Pinetop-Lakeside reputation, what is left, with local business and festival business alike.
