Warriors find peace with a fly rod in Healing Waters

Posted: Saturday, October 6, 2012 5:00 am | Updated: 7:17 am, Sat Oct 6, 2012.

Mike Hanon sits on the bank of Silver Creek, fly rod in hand. At first glance he seems like any other fisherman on such a glorious day – relaxed, at ease. He’s in pursuit of recently stocked trout at the Silver Creek Fish Hatchery. The weather on this first day of October is perfect for anything outdoors; sunny and mild and no wind.

Thank you Terry for PHWFF exposure in the White Mountain area. I get as much pleasure working with PHWFF as the Warriors.
Thank all the fine folks in the White Mountain Area that support PHWFF. One such person is Wink Creigler of X Diamond ranch. Wink donates cabins for the Warriors to stay in as well as access to her ponds and Little Colorado River that runs thru her property.
    Thanks again, Whitey

This is a wonderful story, I'm so proud of the people of the White Mountains. Our service people should always be welcomed and made to feel as special as each and every one of them are. Let's never forget that it's because of them and what they went through that keeps our families safe and free!!! God Bless Them ALL,
