132 athletes enjoy Pinedale for running events

Pleasant temperatures and a beautiful morning greeted some 132 participants in the Pinedale Run to the Bridge on June 20. The number was four shy of last year’s turnout.

Golfers, donors ‘Put it on the Tee for the FAC’

SHOW LOW — Golfers 136 strong participated in the Third Annual “Put it on the Tee for the FAC” tournament at Torreon Golf Club on June 13. The golf tourney serves as a fund raiser to help continue the mission of the Navajo County Attorney’s Family Advocacy Centers.

Whiteriver native Laramie Smith and daughter Lyla, 4, traveled from their home in Durango, Colo., to fish in the White Mountain Apache Tribe's Kids Fishing Derby at Bog Tank on June 6. The White Mountains has abundant lakes and streams where you can take Dad fishing this weekend, including the annual Hatch Toyota Fishing Derby at Fool Hollow State Park Saturday morning.
