Register for Youth Basketball Skills Program

PINETOP-LAKESIDE — Registrations are now being accepted for the Youth Basketball Skills Program which begins with a clinic on Saturday, Jan. 9. This program is open to boys and girls in grades 3-6.  The cost is $30 per child through by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 8, and $40 after that date.  Registration forms can be picked up at the Parks and Recreation office at 958 S. Woodland Rd, Lakeside, Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or online by to going to:

Thanksgiving Turkey Trot to benefit Snowflake High cross-country program

The Snowflake Cross Country team will be  hosting a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, at 8 a.m. at the Snowflake Golf Course.  There will be two races, running simultaneously - a 1-Mile and a 5K Race/Walk.

The Snowflake/Taylor Recreation and Parks Department is gearing up for the 2015-16 basketball season. The league is open to City Men’s A, City Men’s B, City Women’s, Youth Boy’s Church and Men’s Church Division teams. City League registration material can be picked up at the Snowflake or Taylor Town Halls. The registration fee is $300.  Both registration fee and forms are due by Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 4:30 p.m. Teams will play one game per playable week for 8 weeks, followed by a double elimination tournament.
