A golf tournament to Benefit the Wounded Warriors Project will be held at Torreon Golf Club on Friday, Aug. 17 with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Already, the tournament has more than 100 entrants.
The funds will be donated to The Wounded Warriors Project, which offers unique programs to wounded veterans who have incurred service-related wounds, injuries or illnesses on or after Sept. 11, 2001.
Entry fee is $125 per person, which is tax deductible. Golf carts will be provided and heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served following play.
It is a four-person step-aside scramble. An optional $80 per team cash buy-in will be available for team competition when signing in the day of the event. Teams will be handicapped with a minimum of three drives per player.
Entries and entry fees must be submitted by Aug. 10.
A sponsor program is available with a minimum $125 contribution recognized by a tee box sign with your family and/or business name identifying you as a sponsor.
