SHOW LOW — Over 10 years ago, the Arizona Department of Transportation planned and presented a proposal to build a mostly divided, four-lane highway between Show Low and Heber/Overgaard. The plan was first delayed, and then disappeared from the records without explanation.

Many requests to ADOT to re-open the 260 Project has resulted in a newly assigned ADOT study, to reconsider adding the 260 Project to their Five-Year Plan.

On Friday, July 20, ADOT board members will be coming to Show Low to specifically hear the public’s concerns and dreams for our roads and highways. Anyone can speak, for up to three minutes and if you don’t want to speak, you can stand up for those who do. Numbers will count in making the right impression.

Community leaders, business people, first-responders, residents, visitors and anyone who’s ever driven Highway 260, please is welcome at the Show Low City Council Chamber at 9:00 am, Friday and have your voices heard.
