Reneé Penrod celebrating 80 years

Reneé Penrod was born in Lakeside, Feb. 24, 1940, to Gilmore and Anna Jackson. Still to this day she refers to fond memories of her childhood. Reneé attended BYU after graduating from Lakeside High. She then transferred to Eastern Arizona College to be closer to her high school sweetheart, Terry Penrod. She married Terry Dec. 1959 in the Mesa Temple. They recently celebrated their 60 wedding anniversary. Terry and Reneé have seven beautiful daughters (Lorna (Jeff) Hickman, Tauna (Antonio) Silva, Schana, Sally Smith, Starr (Mark) Ollerton, Karen (Bill) Black, Terra (Nathen) Hatch). They also have 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Reneé loves being a mother and grandmother. She cherished the time she had raising her children. She loves music. She sings beautifully, and plays the piano and violin still to this day. She carried that love of music on to her children. We love our angel mother. So grateful to call her ours. “All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” — Abraham Lincoln
