Birding in the White Mountains last series Sept. 13

The last of the Audubon Society’s summer PowerPoint series ‘Birding the White Mountains’ will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the Pinetop-Lakeside Town Hall. The presentation will focus on migrating Warblers and on species likely to be sighted the next morning on a 6:30 bird walk at the closed Lakeside Campground at Rainbow Lake and on the higher-elevation species likely on another Audubon Society hike Sept. 21 at Sheep’s Crossing in Apache County. Field trips are optional and people are welcome to attend who have missed other sessions of the series. For more information, contact Mary Williams at 480-235-1792.
