The seventh annual Pedal the Petrified, a non-competitive cycling tour of Petrified Forest National Park, will be presented by Northland Pioneer College Friends and Family –www.npcfriendsfamily.org.
This is an exclusive opportunity, limited to only 250 riders, to enjoy a supported ride for all levels and capabilities. The event features a choice of both metric half-century and century routes, with stops for food and water approximately every five miles.
The Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert are breathtaking, so the ride is a unique experience. This is not a race, but a non-competitive tour of the national park. There are many opportunities to stop at scenic overlooks and information markers to learn about the area and take photos.
The $104 registration fee includes entrance to the national park, a ride tee shirt and cap and all refreshments and support services, including a shuttle for half-century riders and their bikes to return to their vehicles.
All proceeds support student scholarships at Northland Pioneer College, the only comprehensive community college serving all of Navajo and Apache counties in northeastern Arizona.
You must pre-register for this event. Sign up today and join as one of the select group of 250 riders to experience this exceptional cycling opportunity! Go to www.npc.edu/pedal4scholarships to register.
