Little Colorado River of the Arizona Archaeological Society meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 16. Special speaker will be Melyssa Huston, a term archaeologist at Petrified Forest National Park (PEFO). Her presentation is titled “Petrified Forest: Backcountry Research Along the Waterline.” She will discuss the replacement of the 13 miles of the main waterline that traverses the entire length of the park, the sites that were discovered or researched and the internship program.

Presentation starts at 7 p.m. Dinner on your own at 5 p.m. at Boogie Reds; 6:30 p.m. is the general membership meeting. Meetings are free and open to the public.
