The Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th St. in Show Low offers free events for kids. They are held in the library event room. For more information on any of these events, call the library at 928-532-4070. The following events have been scheduled:

Game Zone

Game Zone is held Fridays (June 21) from 2-3:30 p.m. for anyone ages 8-17. They offer fun board games and some console games that you can sign up to play. 

Windows 10 Basics

Learn about the features of Windows 10, how to use various programs with multiple windows, basic file and printing functions from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, June 24. 

Requires basic computer skills such as opening windows and using a mouse. Registration is required for this class.

Cook the Books

This new book club involves reading a exciting mystery that involves food. Read the book, discuss the story and enjoy a special treat from a recipe from the book. Meeting from 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 24. Books are available for check-out at the customer service desk. Each month, a volunteer from the club will pick the next book and bring the treat to share. Check their monthly brochure for the title of each book.

Summer Reading Activities for ages 6-8

Solar System Walk from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Show Low Bluff Trail, 769 S. White Mountain Road.

Creation Station

Creation Station is open with a variety of different materials to use to spark your creativity meeting from 1-3 p.m. Monday, June 24. They have jewelry making tools and supplies, embroidery machine, quilting/sewing machine, Cricut, looms, and crochet supplies. Use their equipment to start a new project or bring your own project to complete.

Star Lab Planetarium

Bring the whole family to experience the traveling planetarium from Arizona State Library from 1-3 p.m. Monday, June 24. Show Low Public Library will have the planetarium available for all ages to come and enjoy. This is a rare opportunity to see the solar system up close and personal during the day.
