Meals on Wheels, AZ and Turn of a Card Community Center, located at 301 E. McNeil in Show Low, will celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day at 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 31. The event will emphasize the importance of physical activity and showcase local efforts to improve the health of older adults. Speakers from Northland Pioneer College, city park and rec., the White Mountain Shooters Association, and Pet Allies are scheduled to present. For $9, attendees may purchase a breakfast of spinach, tomato and goat cheese omelets, fresh fruit and cottage cheese from 7-10 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., consisting of a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, roasted carrots, raspberries, and lemon cake for $10.
