SHOW LOW — Sequoia Village School has announced a change in leadership for the upcoming 2019-20 school year.
Ronda Sharp, who served as principal during the 2018-19 school year, is moving on to new opportunities in New Mexico, where she will be closer to family. The parents, staff, and students at SVS want to thank her for the tremendous amount of time, energy and love she gave during her tenure as principal. Sharp is a talented educator and will be missed. We wish her all the best in her new adventure.
Tony Rhineheart is returning for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. Rhineheart was part of the staff when the school first opened. He served SVS for 15 years as a teacher and then as principal. He also served as principal at American Heritage Academy in the Verde Valley for two years and spent the last two years as an assistant superintendent, at one point supervising 17 schools.
Rhineheart and his wife Terra are both graduates of Snowflake High School and have family ties to the area. They are excited to be coming home.
“I feel we are coming full circle in returning to Sequoia Village School. We were very excited when the opportunity to come back to SVS came up,” Rhineheart said. “I was blessed to be here at the beginning and have been amazed to watch the changes and growth through the years. Terra and I have been touched by all of the people who have welcomed us back to the campus. I am committed to preserving the family values SVS was founded on, to continue to support academic excellence and citizenship, and to ensure our future generations have every opportunity to become successful adults.”
Please take a minute to stop by and welcome the Rhineheart’s home.
