Eagle Scout presents 135 masks to The Re-Center

PINETOP-LAKESIDE — Answering the call for the RE:center’s plea for masks for Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center and Whiteriver Hospital on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, Eagle Scout Jacob Arellano decided to put kits together as one of his projects for Scouts. Enlisting the help of his fellow Scout Troop No. 7733, along with friends and family — as a social distancing activity — Jacob proudly presented 135 masks to the RE:center’s Tiny Lundy on Tuesday, June 9, making a difference in the White Mountain community. Jacob is 15 and will be a Sophomore at Blue Ridge High School this year. He already has a goal of becoming a silicone engineer one day. His troop leaders are Scoutmaster Chris Kozakiewicz and Assistant Scoutmaster Sandy Kozakiewicz of VWF Post 9907 in Show Low.
