Ponderosa Lions Club donates to 100 Club

Navajo County Sheriff David Clouse, left, visited Heber/Overgaard Feb. 20, and attended the Ponderosa Lions Club morning meeting as a guest speaker to give a report from the Sheriff’s Office. The Ponderosa Lions Club presented Sheriff Clouse a generous check from the Lions to the 100 Club of Arizona in memory of Officer David Kellywood. The 100 Club of Arizona’s mission is to provide financial assistance to families of first responders who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty and provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare. In addition to the Lions Club donation, several others from the meeting gave private donations on behalf of Officer David Kellywood. The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Ponderosa Lions Club and all those who donated. They value the support for deputies and all those who have been killed in the line of duty.
