WHITE MOUNTAINS — Tucson’s native sons, 8 Minutes To Burn, are venturing out from their homes down south on a three-day leg of their regional Spring Electric Li-Ion Promotion Tour, tailor made for potential fans in northern Arizona. Two of the stops will be in the White Mountains.

8M2B, as they are affectionately dubbed by their fans who they call “Party People,” headlines the FaR OuT Band & Fan Jam Jan. 8, “a truly unique music festival that was founded by Jack Rice and friends at the FaR OuT Ranch near Snowflake.” The Facebook Community for this event describes it as a “journey off-the-grid…into the high-desert wilderness of the Anasazi Valley… a magical sight to behold in all of nature’s glory. Some say that stage has healed the land, others claim to have found new life-energy during the festival; either way, one thing is for sure, the FaR OuT ranch, as Jack always says, ‘brings us all closer to the music.”

Jack Rice is a die-hard fan of 8 Minutes To Burn, who travels often from his FaR OuT Ranch to see their shows in the Flagstaff, Phoenix and Tucson areas. He also attends festivals and shows of the various other bands in the FaR OuT family, including The Back Porch Pickers, Only Warning, Rockslide Jones and Japhy’s Descent out of the Phoenix area, all of whom will be playing this year’s seventh FaR OuT Band & Fan Jam with 8 Minutes To Burn.

At the conclusion of the festivities at the FaR OuT Ranch, 8 Minutes To Burn heads down state Route 77 to Pinetop for an encore appearance at The Lion’s Den to christen their new patio venue. 8M2B played a tour stop there back in April and they were so well-liked the owner, Jay Charnholm a.k.a. Slick Dog Daddy, asked them back immediately for what will hopefully be the First Annual Pinetop Party On The Patio.

The FaR OuT Band & Fan Jam with seven great bands starts Friday, June 7, at noon to Sunday, June 9, at noon. It costs $20 and camping is available. The Pinetop Party On The Patio begins at 2 p.m. and is free to the public.
