Remi Miller retires

Recognizing Remilie (Remy) Miller, MMC (Master Municipal Clerk) (center) for her three years of meritorious service to the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside, Town Manager Keith Johnson (left) and Mayor Stephanie Irwin (right) presented Miller with a remembrance plaque at the Sept. 5 council meeting. Miller, who had served as town clerk in Casa Grande for 19 years came to Pinetop-Lakeside three years ago with a promise of giving the town two years of service. Holding to her word — plus throwing in an extra year for good measure — Miller is retiring, leaving her office in tip-top shape for her successor. Miller and her husband, whom she said will still be working, will remain residents of the White Mountains. Jokingly, or not, one of the council members suggested Miller could consider running for town council.
