Forest restoration thinning developed in response to megafires like the Rodeo-Chedeski. 

SHOW LOW — Join George Leech, retired Fire Management Officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fort Apache Agency at Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, for a free hour-long presentation about wildfire in the White Mountains and the historic Rodeo-Chediski Fire that occurred 17 years ago this month. What were the lessons learned and can it be prevented in the future? There is no entrance fee to attend.
