Tails are wagging at the Humane Society of the White Mountains

Cancelling the 15th Annual Happy Tails event at The Orchard at Charlie Clark’s in Pinetop this year, due to COVID-19, the Humane Society of the White Mountains had to find a way to fund their $2,000 a day cost for housing and caring for the shelter animals. Offering an online raffle and drawing the winners live on Facebook on Aug. 29, five happy winners by category are: Name the Litter of Puppies, Katherine Huling; Name the Litter of Kittens, Dennis Appleton; Tool Lovers Treasure Trove, Susan Newberry; Gardner’s Delight, Linda Philbrook and the Gourmet Kitchen Extravaganza, Cally Grimes. Hoping for another online success and more happy tails, their final raffle, one for the holidays, will begin in October.
