PINETOP-LAKESIDE — Police have arrested a 44-year-old Lakeside man after he allegedly threatened to shoot employees at a store in Lakeside on Thursday.
According to Pinetop-Lakeside Police, officers responded to an armed robbery at the Family Dollar on Thursday. Employees told officers that a man entered the store and allegedly threatened to shoot them. The man then fled the store with several items and cash from the register. He allegedly fled the area by getting on the transit bus and then getting off in the area of the Pinetop-Lakeside library.
Employees were able to give officers a good description of the man and his clothing. Officers arrested David Brown, 44, of Lakeside, a few hours later on Woodland Road. He allegedly matched the description of the suspect and was carrying items that had been reported stolen from the store.Â
Brown was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, threatened use of weapon and booked into the Navajo County Jail.
