Hogs and Hot Rods nets $5,000 for the Love Kitchen

The Love Kitchen held its second annual Memorial Weekend Show & Shine celebrating hogs, hot rods & Rock N' Roll as a benefit for the food pantry. According to Director Lynn Lewis, over 5,000 people attended the event. There were 105 registrations for vehicles on the field and 15 vendors and great music all day. There were races and a Lil' Miss Pin Up & Lil' Biker Dude Pageant. This fun family event netted around $5,000 for the Love Kitchen in Pinetop which provides hot and nutritious meals to anyone who walks through their doors - no questions asked, Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., feeding hungry bellies and ministering to their souls. Each Wednesday they also distribute food boxes between 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as food is available. The Love Kitchen is located at 1715 S. Penrod Lane in Pinetop.
