PTLS Visitor Center opens

The Town of Pinetop-Lakeside launched the official grand opening at the Town Hall building on May 31 of a new Arizona Office of Tourism Visitor’s Center. Between 50 and 60 attendees attended the grand opening between 10 a.m. and noon for light refreshments and raffle prizes. The center even had five actual out-of-the-area visitors stopped by before the event concluded. In partnership with Arizona Office of Tourism, the town will provide a plethora of information on events and the White Mountain area. The center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help visitors “Celebrate the Seasons.” Cutting the ribbon for the Pinetop-Lakeside Visitor Information Center Town Manager Keith Johnson, left, Ben Stewart from the Arizona Office of Tourism, center, and Mayor Stephanie Irwin.
