EAGAR — At 6:17 p.m., Nov. 25, Eagar Police responded to a domestic violence situation at 66 W. Third Ave. that turned into an officer involved shooting in which Douglas R. Slade, 52, of Eagar, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eagar Police Chief Mike Sweetser said no police were injured.

He said the investigation into the shooting is being led by the Apache County Sheriff's Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety adding that no other information (including the names of involved officers) is available at this time.

He said more will be released in about a week after investigators gather more information.
