Alton Sherman Kilpatrick, 84, died peacefully April 14, 2019, in Phoenix, with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 4, 1934, to Ora and Estelle Kilpatrick in Driscoll, Texas.
Al served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked for AT&T in California for 31 years and was retired for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, especially with his son, grandsons and numerous friends, as well as spending time with his great-grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Kilpatrick; one grandson and two stepchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carlene Kilpatrick of Show Low; daughter Susan (Doug) Holt of Show Low; son George (Susan) Morrow of California, brother Alfred (Sharon) Kilpatrick of California; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in July at Cedar Ridge Lake in Sonora, California. His ashes will be spread where his daughter Pam's ashes were spread following her death June 2018.
