Betty Jo Eagar

Betty Jo (Greer) Eagar died Monday, May 20, 2019, at her home in Snowflake. She was born April 5, 1932, to Thomas Lacy and Nellie Martha (Thomas) Greer in St. Johns, the seventh of nine children.

Betty Jo spent her childhood and graduated from St. Johns. She married William Callis Eagar March 11, 1953. She raised three sons and one daughter. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty Jo loved the outdoors, and enjoyed going on picnics and hikes. She loved a clean home.

She is survived by her sister, Elaine Short; two sons, Andrew (Andy) Eagar and Mitchel Dean Eagar of Snowflake, and her only grandson, Kendal Wayne Eagar of Scottsdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Callis Eagar, and two children, Gisile Marie Eagar and Russel Charles Eagar.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Eagar Cemetery, 300 West 3rd Street in Eagar.
