Howard Eugene Loyd, 77, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at his home in Snowflake,following a courageous one-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Saturday, March 7, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late James Payton and Dorothy Leona (Jolliff) Loyd.

He developed a sense of country while still in his youth and, when he grew into a young man, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. After receiving his honorable discharge from the Marines, Howard moved to California and began a long successful career. He was the consummate businessman and owned several home decorating and window covering stores.

After he retired, Howard moved to Snowflake, where he lived for 12 years. He loved the community and the people that lived there. He was an avid golfer and was an active member of the Snowflake Men's Club, where his was a friendly and familiar face. Howard enjoyed golfing with his many friends.

Howard will be missed greatly and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
