This past Saturday, Oct. 9, we received long overdue mail.

An Independent dated 9/15/2020, an Elks Magazine dated Feburary 2020, an NEC electric bill dated 8/24/2020, an American Express bill dated 10/5/2020 and a water bill dated 7/27/2020. I thought that it might be something you could look into for a story about mail delivery services.

It took the post office three weeks to send two first class envelopes from Pinedale to Omaha, Nebraska. One of them went to our Medicare supplement insurer who continued to cover us past the due date. The other went to our credit card issuer who charged us over $100 in late payment penalties and interest on the current month's charges. Note that mail to local addresses was delivered promptly. Local post office employees are doing their jobs well.

You're right, Andy Baxter, an expose on the USPS would be good. Our mail gets here after dark when it gets here at all.

It is waaaaay past time for the Biden administration to get rid of the anti-democratic clown known as Louis DeJoy and restore the USPS to a functional governmental service.
