BRJH wins girls basketball championship

Coach Samantha Rodriguez wrote, “When it comes to school, sports can be an integral part. They teach students the importance of teamwork, leadership, motivation and dedication. Sports this year may even be more critical because they allow the students to grow together after a year of hardships. This season, the Blue Ridge Junior High eighth grade girls basketball team came together, accomplishing a first for the junior high, obtaining a girls championship! With the guidance of their coaches Anthony Naranjo and Samantha Rodriguez, the Blue Ridge Lady Jackets ended with an 8-1 season and defeated a previously undefeated St. John’s team 14-12. We expect great things from this outstanding group of young ladies in the future.”
