A pair of recent Round Valley High School graduates have signed National Letters of Intent to play football collegiately in the coming years.
L.J.Foster, the Elks’ receiver/defensive back for the past two years, received an athletic scholarship to play football at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Va.
The Knights, led by head coach Edwin Mulitalo, a former Arizona Wildcat, are coming off a 3-7 season in 2018. SVU is a member of the Capital Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III.
Foster joins several athletes from Arizona on the Knights’ roster, including former Elk running back Ethan Workman.
Kason Woolf, the Elks’ starting quarterback, received an athletic scholarship to play football at Adams State Univ. in Alamosa, Colo.
The Grizzlies, who compete in NCAA Division II within the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, were 4-7 last season under head coach Josh Blankenship.
