Hold it

Snowflake’s Ethan Ramage (8) crosses the goal line on a quarterback keeper, thanks to a crushing block by teammate Welcome Chapman, for an apparent game-winning touchdown in the closing seconds of the Lobos’ 3A semifinal against Queen Creek Benjamin Franklin on Saturday, Nov. 23. But sadly for Lobo fans, the play was nullified by a holding penalty. Two plays later, Snowflake missed a field goal attempt that would have won the game, and Ben Franklin escaped with a 16-14 win, ending the Lobos’ season. Ben Franklin will take on American Leadership Academy - Queen Creek for the state title on Friday.
